Documentary

I watched Amazing Animals Hidden Deep in the Jungle, a nature documentary.  This documentary doesn't have a normal plot. What it does is show off different animals in the jungle that can do cool things. The documentary cover ants to alligators, and it kept me engaged even though I don't like documentaries.

I liked when it showed you the animal they added CGI / B roll mix. I helped me believe that some animals could do these weird things when it pointed out what joints and muscles helped the animals do what it does. This documentary didn't have any people, but I think it would have made it worse if it cut to people talking. I did notice that they used the same shot a lot, maybe they just needed more time in the documentary, but it got annoying watching the same thing around 10 times. I did like the amount of different angles it had. There was a shot in a crocodiles mouth, and they had a shot for everything. When a chameleon shot out its tongue they had a slow-mo shot, or when the was a tiny ant the quality was still really good. I am still curious how they got some of the shots, because the animals were acting like there were no humans around, but there were some shots where the camera was obviously being held by a person. I really liked how with every ability an animals had there was complex but brief explanation for it. My favorite animal was the Jesus lizard, it looks funny when it run yet a lot of animals are intimidated by it. I noticed that they used almost every camera angle, which is really cool. There was shots from far away but you could still tell that its purpose was to give you the setting of where the scene os occurring. The were zoomed shot of monkeys jumping and scrolling shots of a bird swooping in and taking an innocent sloth. Each time there was an xray shot of the animal the same music came on when the narrator talked about the animal, which helped you know when you should pay more attention. I learned a lot about the animals, but I also learned about different camera angles and how I can use them in my films. What was really interesting was when they talked about the bats echolocation it showed how the bat might "see".  Its had an arrow ping forward and when it hit anything that area became visible. I think that most people know that is how bats use echolocation, but it was new to me and I think its really cool.  I think that even though some of the animals they showed weren't explained and talked about, it helped with the atmosphere and let you know that you are know in the jungle.

I would not recommend this documentary. It was entertaining and taught me things about animals, but I honestly think its more of a waste of time and it would be better to get work done.

News Pitch

Ask teachers and students where they are most comfortable using the bathroom at BBA. It could start with the interviewer introducing the topic, and then walking into a bathroom. I would ask teachers who would play along with the joke and make it funny.

My bad script

Intro :

If it's the gender neutral bathrooms in the Smith Center, or the lavatory outside the cafeteria, we will be asking the people of BBA where their favorite place to use the water closet is on the BBA campus. *walks into bathroom stall and having trouble closing door*

From the polls that we set out a week ago we have gathered data saying that 67% of students would rather hold their number two instead of pooping at school.

*walks up to unexpecting person*

This is Jack who is a junior at BBA, what is your opinion on the restroom situation at BBA?

I think that any bathrooms where you have to share with other people are disgusting and awkward. But any gender neutral bathroom where it's just you alone in the bathroom is fine.

*Interups joey while he is in the lunch line

Joey where is you favorite place to drop the bomb? I honestly don't give a crap where I go to the bathroom, I just go the closest place and do what I need to do.

*pulls up pants and start to wash a dry hands*

Students have many different opinions about building a log cabin at school but what about students?

*outside a bathroom*

I’m here with random teacher who has something to say about our bathroom situation.

Teachers have personal bathrooms that students can't use so I’m fully comfortable going to the bathroom when I don't have to worry about students being themselves

There is around 20 bathrooms on the campus of BBA, but students still will hold there caca.

I’m here with a holder, why don't you poo at school?

I know the janitors do there best job cleaning the school and the bathrooms, but If you think about how many times some elses ass is touching the seat it's disgusting. Also there are some animals at this school that don't flush the toilet and leave you a nice brown floating present. Because I’m a guy I can use the bathrooms to pee because of the urinals and I don't have to make contact with the germ ridden porcelain, but in some circumstances I would rather poop my pants that sit down on one of the shinny white death traps. If I find myself needing to poop and I cant hold it any longer, I use about half a roll of toilet paper to cover my ass from the .1 percent of germs. Also f you have bad aim then clean up your mess! I don't want to walk up to urinal and have my feet get glued down by your dried urine. If you are a bad shot the get a paper towel and clean it up

I have a message for the students of BBA if it's brown flush it down, and if it yellow then flush it down again. No one wants to walk into a bathroom being hit by the nauseating scent of urine.

*walking past bathrooms on the language floor*

This is BK from BBA news reminding you to flush *flushes* and wash your hands *washes hands*. See ya *throws crumpled paper towels into trash*
